According to data presented by Stock Apps, the top five cloud providers in the world reached $ 47.5 billion in quarterly revenue. Microsoft and Amazon generated 65% of that value.

As the world’s second-largest cloud provider, Amazon’s cloud revenue has also grown for several consecutive years, reaching an all-time high in the first quarter of 2021. AWS generated $ 13.3 billion in revenue between January and March, a massive 32% year-over-year increase.

IBM, Salesforce and Google Cloud round out the top five list, with $ 6.5 billion, $ 5.8 billion and $ 4 billion in quarterly revenue, respectively.

Platform as a service (PaaS) revenue is expected to increase 67% during this period to reach $ 101.1 billion. However, it is the Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) segment that is expected to experience the greatest growth, with revenues increasing by almost 70% to reach $ 87.4 billion over the next two years.
